Playbook
The methodology to build with purpose.
You know how sometimes you can get bogged down in the "how-to" of launching something, instead of just… doing it?
Totally. The process can feel like a whole separate project.
Exactly. I found myself there too, so I streamlined things with a playbook.
It lets me stop overthinking the operational side and put all my energy into what actually matters: building a quality product for the right people.
A playbook? So it's like your roadmap?
Pretty much! 5 steps to get from idea to launch.
I'm curious. How does it work?
Alright. First up is 1. PREPARE
Defining the problem super clearly, figuring out the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), and nailing down messaging, positioning, and the overall brand character.
This is where the groundwork happens. Getting this right upfront saves a ton of guesswork later.
Solid foundation. Makes sense.
Next is 2. PRESENCE
Key social media accounts, a simple website (usually just a waitlist form and analytics to gauge early interest), and a series of blog posts that explore the problems we're tackling and the brand's take.
This means getting the essential online bits in place and I always start a changelog here. Transparency is good.
Then, 3. MVP
The whole point is to get something impactful into users' hands, fast. I always use the same stack: Svelte/SvelteKit, Supabase, Stripe. It's reliable, I know it well, so I can just build.
So, function over perfection at this stage!
You got it. Once that's moving 4. MARKETING
I'll revamp the landing page, create necessary visuals or quick videos, and write really clear docs, guides, pricing info, a "why us" page, and "how it works.".
The goal is to be clear. If people don't get it, they won't use it!
Right, making it easy for people to jump on board.
Exactly. And finally 5. LAUNCH
This is where I connect with relevant communities, officially roll out the polished website, and look into getting some good backlinks.
And one thing that's constant: throughout all of this, I'm updating that changelog and sending updates to the mailing list. Keeping people in the loop is just good practice.
So it's a pretty structured, yet open way of doing things.
That's the goal. Hope my approach gives you a good idea of how I operate!
